Run i3 gas engine without running the battery down?

Thats interesting. So theoretically, I can start the Rex whilst parked up and charge the battery from below 75% thus bringing the SoC to a much higher level? Can't imagine why I would want to do this but who knows 
Actually, if I hit a very low SoC at the bottom of a very long uphill climb, I could stop and use this to raise the battery SoC to a higher level to avoid limp mode on the hills. Useful if I take it up the Andes one day.
