Hi my kona ev is 3 months old and I have noticed that when I drve the car in reverse I get a very load screeching noise I assumed that it might be the brakes but going forward it is fine don’t matter if it’s cold or warm still does it every time anyone else had this problem or if any one can help would appreciate your comments.

Could be a small stone wedged between brake disc and backplate.
Maybe it only jams in one direction and is free in the other?

I have checked this but can’t see anything visible that might be the cause of this it’s strange how it only does it in reverse going forward it’s fine it’s got to be brakes as when I touch the brake pedal it gets worse think it might be a visit To my local dealer as to be honest it’s been there since new but has got worse as times gone on I just put in down to possible brakes wearing in at first and thought it would disappear with time.

Definitely get it to a dealer as the discs or pads could be rubbing on something. It shouldn't do that, it should be silent!
