Has anybody had his before? The screen starts acting as if its being used for a short while. 10-3₩ seconds maybe. The Satnav will act like someone is moving the cursor, and it will start hitting some menus if it's on different screens.

Wondering if there is some moisture in there somewhere...

PJ- You may be right about the moisture, but that generally also shows up as a discolouration on the screen as well. More likely there is a problem with the display's sensor matrix circuitry. The Nissan stealers are the only place you are likely to get a replacement satisfactorily, although they are not electronics people, they will just replace the whole thing. You may be able to get a a head unit from a scrapyard, but as the leaf's internals are intertwined with the head unit, fitting it is really a job for the stealers.

Whatever the cause is, it 'aint gonna be cheap to fix. Bang goes your Christmas, sorry mate.

Hope it works out for you Tony.

I'd probably give it a clean with a microfibre cloth first while it's switched off. Then reset it.

Does it misbehave on a sunny day or is it just random?

If it is moisture then put those silica gel bags all around it to see if that makes any difference if cleaning it and resetting it doesn't change it.

Another thought-if you are at all handy, you could try to remove the head unit slightly, the folding display is connected to the head unit by a ribbon cable at the top. Just have a GENTLE wiggle of that cable and see if it has any effect. You will need to slide the head unit out and remove the top lid to access it.

You may find just pressing the access button to actuate the folding screen a couple of times may alleviate the symptoms. Of course, it may well make it a lot worse too.
