Hi

I have done a search but it doesn't seem to have come up. My petrol car (safety blanket!) is sitting in the drive unused and unloved. While I could go through all the SORN faff, it would be more useful to keep it on a limited-mileage policy and usable if required (e.g. forgot to charge the Leaf - has happened once!).

I see Admiral are best for multicar, but wondering if anyone has any other recommendations? I can't see me doing more than 1000 miles in the year in the petrol, if that. However, the "specialist" policies are all geared towards proper classics rather than old family hatchbacks :)

Adrian Flux quoted me nearly £900 on multicar, a couple of specialist brokers (adelaide and bewiser) quoted stilly figures and two more whose names escape me now just didn't reply.

Any recommendations for an insurer who will consider the NCB that is in use on my Leaf against a second, very limited, car?

Great, thanks guys - I had an online quote from admiral but it was a little steep so will try the phone call approach as MRH seems to have had luck with! Will also try the Allianz approach ...

Yeah, I am with Aviva (Leaf was added on for a reasonable sum this year) but they want over £750 for the renewal which seems excessive given that I can only drive one car at a time.

Mind you, just did an online Allianz one and they want £2500. I sense that I am unwanted by the insurers for some reason ...

Phone tomorrow it will have to be, would imagine they'd be embarassed quoting that over the phone!
