I can select the charge level for use with the 13A cable within the Energy Consumption menus, 6A is the default but can be changed to 10A. My charging cable does not have the switch of the earlier ones, just two lights, one for power and the other when there is a problem with the earth connection which stops any attempt at charging.

Re: Potential Issue with the 6.6kw charger for Nissan Leaf

I have the Ampera, It is within the Power Usage menus but will check today exactly what menu options I need to go through to access it.
I have had Vauxhalls since my first Chevette way back in 1979, good cars only let down by poor experiences at some dealerships.

Re: Potential Issue with the 6.6kw charger for Nissan Leaf

It appears that it is not in the handbook, well the PDF I found on the net.
Press the Leaf button until the charging screen is displayed and at the bottom centre of the screen I have a button to access another menu 'Change Charge Level'. In here you can select 6A or 10A, it does tell you that this only affects using the portable cable and I think it may reset and default to 6A after each charge.

My car was less than three weeks old when it was in the garage and while I was booking it in I was told there were three rework items, 1 - to do with the charging flap/lock/sensor or whatever, 2 - to do with software for the handbrake (at least that is what it sounded like) and 3 - another software item which did not mean anything to me. I was told when I collected the car I would receive a report about it but I think that is more to do with the paintwork defect.
