Hi Everyone,

In a moment of madness I decided to buy an electric smart car lol. It's absolutely brilliant, but I'm not sure if it's supposed to be making a clunking noise when the speed drops to 8mph. It's always dead on 8mph, so if I'm coming up to a junction, when the car slows to 8mph I hear a clunk coming from underneath the middle of the car

any ideas?

other than that, no problems

Here she is.....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4uv1SJ6hhM

What a laugh

Possibly to do with regen, only works down to a certain speed, 8mph sounds around the right point where I guess regen stops and to do any further slowing the friction brakes would be engaged. Does the Smart let you change how much regen you get when coasting? If you can try turning regen off and see if the issue goes away? I wouldn't expect a clunk to be normal though
