My quote for 12 panels exactly the same panels as yours was £4600 without optimisers as I dont have any shade but my inverter was probably bigger at 4.2kW. Very impressed with the panels. virtually every panel being caked in pigeon droppings after the long dry spell didn't affect output anywhere near as much as I feared...very minimal. I had quotes for solar edge and ja solar panels but other installers seemed unable or unwilling to apply for dno permisson for a bigger than 3.6kw export so I went with the Longis and eventually a bigger system @ 95p per watt.

I don't have any shade either but an optimiser has been included, I will ask if that is really necessary. Thank you

Last month

I'd find out how much extra its adding to the bill for optimisers, nice to have but not really needed for zero shading. ( for 8 panels just a couple/few hundred extra maybe..) and get some more quotes! These guys can give good initial quotes from their living room without barely lifting a finger so get as many as poss with all equipment listed.

Your Longi 360Wp panels are really only 300Wp equivalent of a better brand panel.
A better brand panel will last you a lifetime.
The Chinese stuff, who knows how long they'll last and if they'll be around to honor warranties.

You would think so but my experience says otherwise. I have identical 360 w longi panels 2 equal strings. Each string should output max 2880w. Inverter is 5kw. There are a few data points where one string pulls 3000w and the other 2000w. Usually they are pretty even but I get a fair bit of pigeon droppings on one until it rains.
I am also astonished at the length of time I can get full inverter output from 11am to 4pm and this was beginning of April living in N England. Maybe at this performance they won't last as long
