Agreed - I bought my Soul EV through Jonathan at eco-cars.net. He showed a pic of my Soul being delivered to me in one of those video’s before Christmas. Can’t fault the process or the price, it was dead easy
I know Jonathan, he is a good guy, I've bought an i-miev from a contact of his before. I just like doing it myself !
I had actually chatted with Jonathan about this Soul, he said he thought it would go for around £9,500 at auction with the mileage it had, and the guy at the desk was quoting me £12k !
Might wait until something interesting comes up at the Aston Barclay near me, then I can bid on it directly. I'm not desperate for a new car but currently drive a Zoe 22kwh, about 80-90 miles range and would like more miles in the tank. The Zoe I bought broken as salvage (would not charge) so its hard to spend big money on a car when that cost me not a lot !
The Soul won't do that many more miles than the Zoe 22. Early 27kWh are 75-80 in the winter and about 110 in the summer which isn't that far off the Zoe I don't think. Build is better. It does rapid charge well though so if you don't mind stopping every 50-60 miles for 20 odd minutes (then another 15 mins if you need 90+%) then it should work.
The 30kWh Souls (2016 on) are a bit better still and rapid straight to 92% ish. The extra bit of battery and better rapid charging limits make that one far more flexible.
Hi all, I’ve read on here that the remaining battery percentage is not linear (think it was Donald that mentioned it).
In what way is it not so? Does it flatter the efficiency at higher percentages and then fall away quicker lower down, or is it the other way around, losing percentage more...
I’ve been in touch with Kia UK about what would be the appropriate sized space saver spare wheel to buy for the Soul EV. This is what they said:
Yes, you could order a full size spare 16" from your dealer as there's no space saver that would be appropriate. We strongly recommend...
This morning on approaching the car the wing mirrors failed to open and pressing the button on either the door or key fob had no effect.
Car had been on charge overnight (rolec) and was fully charged.
Called out green flag who tested the battery first off and it was failing to register a...
Anyone else got a Zappi car charger, solar panels and a Kia Soul EV?
I'm having an issue when the Zappi is in Eco+ mode, and hasn't had surplus power to charge the car for at least 30 mins. The car seems to go to sleep, and the Zappi's unable to wake it up when there is power (not even...
