Hello all
Pretty new to the golf gte world but liking it. I have a 2018 advance and questions in my head about safety kit etc.

I'm wondering what should fit maybe in the German market perhaps under the boot liner if anything? I know in europe you have to have a safety kit of a triangle, hi vis, first aid kit etc but do VW have any of that specifically made for the couple of small spaces where the main battery is does anyone know?

All I have found out so far is that you can buy a warning triangle from amazon that will fit behind the clip on tge rear tailgate.

Any help appreciated

Thanks

Not from VW but I found a halfords self-provided first aid kit fitted by the central bumper edge , and simple warning triangle along the side item. I used 2-3 large empty black bin bags to pad the triangle - bags useful for side window temp fix or more often, putting muddy boots in.

I put a fire extinguisher in the side "cup" where the tyre gunk used to go, and took one of those foam inserts out and put the tyre gunk there instead. Having seen vehicles catch fire from bad brakes, leaking ATF, electrical faults etc. I will never not carry a fire extinguisher with me.

Mine is red coloured [ got in 2016 or so ] and looks something between the first 2. You could always get the mid one and if it doesn't fit use another item you already have that size to put most of it in.
Failing that, an emergency packet of chocy biscuits.

My fire extinguisher is a 1 litre powder fire extinguisher, safe for most small fires, including electrical ones (though any high-voltage battery fire is off limits). It probably won't put out a large fire, but it will subdue a brake fire for instance, or limit the damage at least. I got it from Wickes.

HI Mark
Thanks for that and yes please I would like a photo of the fire extinguisher if possible? I have managed to find out about the first aid kit and bought the same one you have with a good date on it from Ebay. I also now have my car jack in that position but I have the tyre glue thing in the pocket above the jack ion your photos, where to you keep yours? Also where do you keep the electric tyre inflation pump?
Just to let you know I bought the 18 plate GTE a few months ago from a VW dealer and it was missing the tyre glue stuff (was it the official name of that?) and the electric tyre inflator. The VW dealer supplied both missing parts and they are original VW parts.
