I have left my Ampera on the default Cold setting. I suspect this setting will provide better battery life as when driving it provides quicker heat for battery management than using the electric heating. It may also be more energy efficient in our climate and with my profile of use. I have not found any proof of this, it is just my thoughts and opinion.
