Hmm when you dig a bit deeper it looses half the energy you throw at it in the process and can only output 5kW continuously.

Not going to be charging the car and running the rest of the house of one of these any time soon then!

Still very interesting, easier and cheaper to buy a spare second hand 40 leaf though park it outside and plug it into a grid tie charging point and just use it as battery storage! 😂

So why not buy three Powerwalls and be done with it? Or pay even less for LG batteries.

Round trip efficiency of 50% (which is probably optimistic.

Output limit of 5 kW compared to 15 kW for three Powerwalls.

This thing will need servicing every year, so there’s that cost.

Oh, and nice of them to throw in the FUD of ‘no toxic chemicals to dispose of at the end of its life’.
