I gather things have gone awry in Texas with some tariffs with flexible rates charging up to $9.00 per unit (kWh) and people running up bills of $5,000 -$13,000 over the last few days.

I saw over $40,000 quoted earlier today.
Deregulation is the American dream (of Republicans anyway).

There is a cap on OCTOPUS AGILE of 35p pKWh, I do not recall any other caps as they are as far as I know 2 stage tariff with fixed costs

There is a price cap for an 'average' bill so there must be some maximum limit on the per kWh charge.
