Ooh, a couple of those are handy for me. Too close to be useful in the Tesla, but just the ticket if we get ambitious in the Mini when it turns up. Now need to work out how to add a non-Tesla to the app.

I’ve downloaded the Tesla app but all it lets me do is select what car I have. Any ideas how to get to third party charging?

This is going to cause so much confusion with drivers turning up at non open sites and trying to charge

see a comedy of errors and a post in the daily express within a week showing some scowling EV owner saying he was trapped by not being able to charge

From Tesla's FAQ:-
Tesla said:
Tesla App

How do I charge if I don't drive a Tesla?

  1. Download the Tesla app (version 4.2.3 or higher) for iOS or Android and create a Tesla Account.
  2. Select 'Charge Your Non-Tesla' and find your Supercharger site.
  3. Add your payment method, plug-in your car, select a stall and tap 'Start Charging.'
  4. Select 'Stop Charging' to complete your session.

yup - I can’t figure that out either!

Flint and Aberystwyth has in a flash massively increased the charging situation in North/West Wales…
This is what their FAQ says:-

Such a bonus for non-Tesla owners, fair play to Tesla - they must feel comfortable enough that their cars sell on their own merit to remove what has been for so long a major benefit of tesla ownership over the others, that or they realise long term that its the charging network that will make the big money - which I can see TBH since I think it'll be used in preference to other manufacturers where people can

Yes, but I can’t find that in the App (v 4.8.1) as it just shows my Tesla. I’ve had a good look around, and on the desktop site, and can’t find a solution. Not urgent, but hopefully they’ll sort it.
