Here's the energy consumption from a typical journey... 248 motorway and A-Road miles with a 13A charge while at lunch with family (no public charging required);

Today's range charge predicting 215 'ideal' miles (NEDC) which I estimate is ~10 miles less than when the car was new :D

Thats amazing! 10 miles? I have some lipo that is 10 years old now and is at about 80%, I have some NIMH that are 15 years old and still have full capacity.

Not sure if the battery chemistry in the Leaf will be quite as sound though? whilst I lease the car its not as much of a concern although I am keen for the batteries to last well for the next user of the car and I look after them with that in mind.

Great to see more posts like this with real world driving examples without the stress and worry of those bothersome rapid chargers!

Super Job and mostly on sunshine in the last year too!

186 sunshine miles today although the last bit was rather fast and used up the last of the battery :D

Now topping up on late afternoon solar before pausing for low carbon electricity overnight ready for an early morning drive :)

Brilliant! yes we pulled over 20kwh out of our solar PV system today as well, as we are low mileage I can say that pretty much 100% of our home charging will be solar between late feb and early October, I could make it a definite 100% if I built an EVSE with an adjustable setting.

Its a very nice feeling driving in sunshine on sunshine, people still say to me its the future when it really is the now for many of us, I know not everyone can afford solar panels and electric cars but hopefully that will change in the future and the only way the prices are going to come down is by people who can afford to do it..doing it!

After driving 124 motorway miles we had 88 miles range left yesterday. 4 years & 52K miles later the Tesla still delivers :)

It's a really lovely little car, what's the price for that used if you don't mind me asking

AFAIK @dpeilow car was on sale for £50K but don't know whether that's a sport or even what impact that has on resale values.

You'll see a few cars change hands now that the Model S has arrived and I welcome that because the new drivers will actually use the car :) In the long term I suspect the value will rise with just ~55 UK cars on the road.
Cool I think they should still make them it's a nice little 2seater
@Kevin Sharpe I challenge you...

Fault the Roadster. I was the World's biggest MINI Fan(tm) give or take, but that also somehow made me their harshest and one of the most candid critics. So what sucks, is frustrating, or just "could have been done better" so far as your Roadster ownership has informed you?

Like a "if they made a Roadster today, they should add, remove, improve"...?

ok...

Motor overheating when racing... really needs to be liquid cooled.

Brakes are not up to super car quality... you need to be able to stop quickly!

Three Phase charging... it's a pain plugging into a 22kW Charging Station and sipping at 7kW. This is really noticeable in Europe where 11kW charging is common and charges the Roadster at just 3.5kW.

Custom Charging Connector... requires adaptors for Type 2 infrastructure (although it's also great that nobody else can use the HPCs so this isn't really a frustration :p).

Like a "if they made a Roadster today, they should add, remove, improve"...?
Elon Musk has promised us some major Roadster updates this year and it's possible that will include some of the above :)
