Hi All,

We finally have confirmation from Tesla that their Wall Connector (Tesla's own branded Type-2 tethered EVSE charge-station) will be available from next week.

Due to limited availability initially, we require your Tesla VIN number to reserve one if you're interested. We expect demand to be strong so I recommend early reservation if you'd like one.

Please email [email protected] with Tesla Wall Connector in the email header to apply and we'll support your installation.

Best regards,

Thomas

Thomas are they 'Tesla only' or do they charge any Type 2 EV? I'm not clear about this.

The unit is excellent and has load management features integrated.

My first impression is that it's ABL/Schneider quality, though we'll need to see a number deployed to pass comment on reliability

I do like the power sharing capability for multiple units, it's just what we've all wanted :)

Any idea whether it's possible to swap the type 2 cable for a type 1? Presumably, it's straightforward but would it adversely affect the load management capabilities in any way?

It should technically be possible, but it would void the warranty.

For sites with multiple types of vehicle (Type-1/Type-2), our recommendation of a socket-type, un-tethered charge-station stands.
