Hi,

Sorry if this is posted elsewhere, I did a search but couldn't find a related post.

What app(s) do you use on your phone to find chargers?

Thanks.

Generally I just use zap map, which has the easiest to use interface and shows everything you need to know and nothing you don’t quite clearly.

PlugShare is sometimes good for old/out-in-the-sticks/off-network chargers that don’t get much use but sometimes are really useful if you’re far from the main roads.

In both cases, it’s worthwhile taking some comments and information with a pinch of salt - I’ve seen “available hours” listed that are simply the times the car park is chargeable, not when the charger is available, and there is still a constant stream of people marking chargers as broken when they’re working fine. It can be tricky to determine sometimes!

Our iOS app - WattsUp - shows rapid chargers across all networks with live status (when available). It has a route planner but more importantly, we think, can show chargers whilst on a journey with realtime distances. Free download (link below).
