I do value the EU usage, and massively value the physical key offered by Elmo.

think for you it’s worth it, only £342, expensive key, but not that pricey, if you can’t get into the car in a remote location.

Same with any EV I have had for test drives or longer term. I was 4 months in with the black cat before I thought to test it out to ensure it was working.

Thinking about it, Karsare's black box system seems practically identical to how Onto works - done via an app, they know the charge level of the car etc. Perhaps Onto could have integrated this type of thing in to their system and it work without needing any additional hardware - as Karshare take an extra 20% of the booking cost (on top of their normal 30%) for a while to cover this.

Maybe you should post this as an idea on the ONTO forum. Might be something they are or could consider in the future.

Thank you. Leaf received and looks good. In fact, a little too good, no scratches or scuffs. I'd prefer if it had a few, I wouldn't have to worry too much The problem now is that NissanConnect does not allow me to register the VIN, as apparently it has already been registered by someone else. I would think that these issues with rentals would have been ironed out by now, but alas. Anyone know how can this be fixed?

Contact Elmo and ask them to resolve. This is an ongoing issue for most subscription services and should be automatically de registered by the logistics companies as part of the return/get ready for next subscriber.

So, the de-registration and registration activities should be part of the handover process.

Totally agree, it should be. The problem seems to be the logistics partners involved.
With JLR Pivotal they do this perfectly. When doing a swap, they add the second car to your account a day ahead of the swap. Then after the swap the first car gets removed from your account. 👍 they are of course in control of all aspects of the solution.

For some reason it doesn't like me sitting in the car doing nothing.... I've locked the doors and can see the light go on and off in time with the clicks.

Something odd going on for sure. Is the Zoe brand new? What model?

I must be the unluckiest Elmo subscriber. Sixth (I think) time

Zoe must have been the car that week with all the naff parts assembled in it.
maybe it’s time to swap to something else and get shot of that one.

This is my second Elmo Zoe after the first kept getting recovered. Also had a temporary MG ZS from Elmo and it didn’t like 7kW charging so could only use Rapids, and had an awful range/economy.

Bummer, not the experience you expect. Time to try out a different brand.. Nissan, Peugeot, Citroen

maybe give it a day and see if it sorts itself, or just remove from the app and then add it again

All depends on the lighting conditions when the car is viewed.
One person can also miss something which another can spot.
