For those who know On.to/Evezy, this is quite important... it comes with a key!!
I have the key with my ONTO Peugeot e-208 GT Line

Don’t forget to add the £10 a month for the Polar Subscription to the Elmo Price. Also some early ONTO customers get two additional drivers included, whereas Elmo charge £10 a month for each one. And ONTO gave a discount of £50 for each of the first three months of the ZE50 subscription and we got the first delivery charge at half price. In onto you need to add the delivery to the calculation too. Plus EU/N. Ireland travel comes for free but with Onto you pay extra.
Example Onto ZE50 gt line= £419+ £4.09 (delivery/12 months) =£423
Example Elmo= £384 (or 416.6 if living in London or midlands)
at the end depends how many miles you need and where are you based
Does your Zoe have a creaking boot?As far as I know it does. I guess you could arrange the delivery for a slightly later date if you would do it from london.
RE the preconditioning, I clicked the "connection thingy" on mine yesterday, it says it can take up to 72h to activate, fingers crossed it will! I'll put it here whatever it happens anyway. (i've never done it before so I might have done something wrong anyway)
If it does, you will know! No need for a videoTo be honest I've not even driven it for 50 miles yet and haven't noticed anything. Came with the latest update directly from Renault.
Is there any video where to see how does it creak so I can identify it?
George from ONTO? Has he defected?it was good to talk to George
Do you sign a new contract each month? What’s the insurance excess and can you cover it with car hire excess insurance?Good thing with the monthly contract is if it’s not working for me I can hand the car back and be done with it.
I’ve had 3 pin plug chargers for almost two years with my ONTO vehicles and only used one once, and that was just to try it out! If you plan your trips, you shouldn’t be in the situation where you have to knock on some strangers door asking if you can plug into their domestic electricity supply. Because of charging losses, Zoe only takes 1.7kW from the 10A granny lead, so a 7 kW public charging post is always preferable, and of course a 22kW three phase point even better. They are about £300 from Renault direct, but you can get off-brand cables for about £200. Overall I think its a bit much to be charged for one considering the costs already. If needs be I have seen a couple on Ebay for under £100 so may aswell get a used one
That’s one advantage of having swapped a Zoe for a e-208. The preconditioning has worked perfectly from day one on the Pug. The only negative is that you need over 50% SoC for it to work. Think it’s only 40% (of a larger battery) with the Renault, which is more reasonable. Can't get the preconditioning to work, have made a schedule but it didn't work on the car when I got in it this morning. Also don't seem to have a "precondition" button on the App - checking the "My Contracts" settings the "Remote Control 36 Months Serial" has been Rejected for some reason. Not sure what this means but I guess is why I can't remotely pre-condition.
Noticed your SoC is only 32%. Were you plugged in? Thought preconditioning only worked when SoC above 40%.View attachment 139361
Worked off Zeddy so can’t complain. Nice and toasty warm. Just managed to do it using Siri as well so helloooo peak laziness.
Should I be concerned about the battery though? Granted I’ve not charged it fully, and it’s quite cold, but it went down 20% in 18 miles today, mix of national speed limit roads and in eco mode. Don’t remember the ZE40 being this poor...
Cold weather and the use of heating both reduce mpkWh. But unlike an ICE vehicle, an EV has a lower consumption in city driving than on the highway. Unless of course you are racing Audis and BMWs off all the traffic lightsSeems the combination of cold weather and slower driving (was a cross-town journey) kills the efficiency.
At Gridserve both (350kW and 90kW) cost 24p per kWh. Best to leave the higher power rapid for vehicles capable of charging at 100kW or more. There are also some 22kW chargers which you need to use your own cable with. These are free to use, @Valisium could use these if Zoe is already at >60% SoC in this weather because you won’t get much more off a CCS which you’re paying for.Putting it on a 350kW won't hurt it, the Car will talk to the unit and let it know what it can accept so it (shouldn't) try to throw 350kW at it. It just might cost a bit more to use the higher-rated units
Yes it does. So travelling across Europe should be almost as easy as it is for Tesla drivers using the Supercharger network.Does that list only include UK Charging or does it cover Europe as well?
All you need is a REALLY long lead and you'll be grand to charge outside your house.
When are you coming to London?Hey there, yes we are currently operating in Bristol only however we will be expanding to more cities very soon, so no harm in hopping on the EV train early![]()
Elmo are diversifying! 🤣Grannies for Hire...
