Nice colour, but I can't help thinking the wheels are a little too small. No doubt it'll be more comfortable and efficient though.
Yes, that was the idea. I had a large car before with nice and huge 20" or 21" (don't remember any more) wheels and very little rubber, but I found it noisy. Very annoying and tiring on the long road trips at high speeds through Germany. When I bought my current 330e back in 2019, I decided to go for small wheels and a lot of rubber and air. Not regretted a second, even if it isn't that "cool". I bought an EV to be as quiet as possible, not only for those outside the car, but also for me and others inside the car, so I went for the 17". It is also much more fuel (sorry, battery) efficient than the huge and heavy 21" wheels are.

I couldn't wait that long, would drive me nuts...
It will drive me nuts also, but what else can I do? I have never waited this long for any car during my 66 years, and in fact, last time I bought a car in 2019, the waiting was 8 weeks for my 330e and I thought that was a very long time... :ROFLMAO: Now I am counting the days... this is the fourth day after order, so about 360 more to go... Of course, things can change, and it can go faster also. I received order confirmation from the factory today, but there is no manufacturing date set yet, only a requested production start week, which is set to 1/2023. So if I am lucky, I will have the car for my birthday in April, but as it looks like, I think I should be happy if I get it in October 2023. That's what I am aiming at, but I won't complain if it comes before that.

Preordered a Lexus RZ last month, I was told that it will come some time in 2024
We are looking for another EV for my wife and one of the alternatives were the Mercedes EQA, but when we went to the dealer to take it out for a test drive he said that they are not taking any orders because 2023 production is full, and they expect an updated version later next year. Kia Niro EV, or EV6 are two alternatives, and the waiting is 10-12 months there also. We had the ED.3 as an alternative also, but we have detected some bugs in the car software, which apparently are known issues and which VW never will fix, so we dismissed ID.3 and ID.5 also. Not many EVs left which are according to our preferences... Will probably make a decision this weekend about that car also. She need to replace her Leaf, which is four years old this year and will be five before she can have a new one because of that freaking Putin and Covid.

All I can say is stay well away from VW. I had an ID3 forst edition
Had to return it and get a refund as it spent most of its time in VW service, with them being unable to fix it.

Last month they've sent me an email that it's time to do an AC service to my ID3

Wow... I thought that it's only an issue for EV and PHEV models.
I ordered an electric Corsa - I'll never buy another fossil powered vehicle. I went 15 years without a car at all, when it became clear that diesel wasn't clean. For the last 2 years, I pushed hard to get my work to issue an electric van, and paid for the charging point myself. They pay for the electricity though.

I placed an order for this car last Friday.

Take a look at my vehicle:

So now the 10-12 months waiting started. It will be my longest ever waiting for a car.
Be patient, it will arrive when it arrives. It could be sooner. My wife collected her BMW 225e on Saturday about a month earlier than the original estimate (ordered July). On the other hand the salesman said he didn't know why it was early as most other orders had been delayed.

Yes, well, there is nothing else to do but wait... Being inpatient doesn't help. Anyway, the waiting is equally long for almost every car, and definitely every car we considered as alternatives for me or for my wife.

In fact, the situation is getting worst almost every day. My mind about my car is made up, order is signed, but we are still looking for a replacement even for my wife. Two weeks ago we visited our local Mercedes dealer because I thought that the EQA could be a nice alternative for her, but the dealer said that Mercedes is not taking any order for now because the order is full for the whole 2023 orders so earlies would be mid 2024, but in 2023 they will release an updated version of the EQA, so Mercedes Sweden is not selling any EQA for now. I spoke to the dealer a few months ago and at that time he said the delivery for the EQA is about 10 months... so from 10 months it went to infinity. :(

...but sure, it can change the other way also, if I am lucky, I may get mine before the summer, but I'll be happy even with next November. It feels good to have signed the order contract, so I no longer need to think about that part.
