Does anyone know how to clear the low-pressure warning on the eNiro?
I've tried slightly over-inflating the tyres, but no change - I've now got permanent warning on 3 of the tyres and it's really annoying.
Thanks in advance...
Check the pressure gauge or pump you have used is accurate. Some of them are way off. Is there a way in the Niro to display the actual tyre pressures the car is seeing?
There's a plate on the B pillar inside the driver's door with tyre pressures for different wheels and tyres that are on the model. See what it it says. If it does a lot of motorway then mid way between mid and max is usually good.
I used to run mine a bit lower than recommended. From trial and error I learned they will report low pressure at 30 indicated or less. To reset you have to go to 36 cold indicated or higher and drive a few miles. I now run at around 35 cold. there is a hysteresis band of around 6 psi.
I noticed the pressures increase considerably when driving a while, even at urban speeds. There is also a very marked pressure variation between summer and winter. I know all tyres do this but I see this effect much more with this car than any I previously owned. I’m assuming it’s due to it being a much heavier car than I owned before. The tyres are heavily loaded, so rather more heat losses. Peter
