Who's driving a section of road that a current TomTom map has yet to recognise as a viable route? (I've found 2 in this area driving in My Zoe so far.) The A32 between Omagh and Dromore was realigned a couple of years ago,the ribbon cutting ceremony taking place on Valentine's Day 2013(it says here..)...The map,upgraded to "Current" when I got the Zoe 3 weeks ago,still shows me going "offroad" while travelling along there last night..And passing through Newtownstewart (in Tyrone) recently looking for a charge point that my smartphone app flagged up,and TomTom couldn't even find the street name of, (Moyle Road),never mind the charger..
I'm not sure how long the small leisure centre and it's car park where the charger is located have been there,(The 2000 in it's title may be a clue) but My Sister Married a guy from the area 25 years ago and I've been travelling on that road since before they were dating! what's your best road omission story?

It's the nature of digital mapping that road changes can take any where from 12 to 24 months to make it into released mapping. When a new road is opened it needs to be surveyed, then the data needs to be entered into the master map and finally it is released to end user customers. Even though TomTom own the mapping company new (it was previously known as TeleAtlas) it still takes some time for these things to make their way to released map data. Garmin, who use Nokia map date (previously known as Navteq) have the same issue.

But anything more than 2 years is an anomaly, can you give me an example so I can check with TomTom and ask for comment?

The Charging station I was looking for had an address on Moyle Road,Newtownstewart,Omagh. While the Leisure centre (whose car park is the site of the charger) may have been there 14 years,it only fronts onto the Moyle road..that road was previously the main road through Newtownstewart towards Omagh until the town was bypassed around 2003..I got a "not found" error when searching for it.

My understanding from other forum posts is that the TomTom sat nav is the Zoe is quite a bit behind in updates than even TomTom's own sat navs. Although recently there was an update which I managed to get working after about 4 attempts! Not sure how up to date this one is though. Charging points do seem to be way behind.

I can find Omagh > Moyle Road but not Omagh > Noewtownstewart > Moyle Road. It looks like an address anomaly rather than a mapping error.

You might want to report errors you find such as this using their on-line reporting tool:

thanks for the link! that could be the problem-Omagh is 10 miles away from NTS...if the road is listed wrongly within Omagh's boundaries,that's going to cause confusion for visitors (never mind satnav wielding locals having their first experience of an EV!)
