My leaf Tekna 30 goes into the stealers for an mot and service on Monday, they are going to replace my sensor in the nearside rear tyre. They are only about £20 dearer than a tyre fitters quote at £107.00 so I asked them to get it done. As my car is coming up on 5 years old I wonder if I should get them all done at the same time....anyone got any thoughts on that?

Cheers Tony.

The LEAF indicates which wheel/corner has failed so you could just change one at time when they fail. But is it worth the hassle if they are going to fail soon after each other?
Tony - a Nissan TPMS should be about £45 so I don't understand the cost to change it as they only need to remove the wheel, unseat one bead of the tyre and undo the shroud on the existing stem.
@dk6780 - Nor do I understand, but I tried National Tyres (whom I have found to be ok in the past), even Kwickfit and they all quote about the same price, best part of £100 each.

Keep getting the warning on dash of my ICE. Tyres fine, reset and it comes back on after about 20 minutes.
Do you have to test each one till find the faulty one or does it just require a plug into the ECU to show up which one is failing?
Sorry to hijack thread.
To the OP my feeling is to change as required, 500 quid plus just to change all four seems like a bit of a waste to me when the other 3 are probably ok.
I do see the logic though, in that if one has failed the others might not be far behind.
@cheryl ward - Yes, I am in a bit of a quandary, while it's in I would think it would be easier, as I do a lot of mileage-coming up on 28000 now thanks to the lovely Jane's "little run outs" in the Dorset/Hampshire countryside-not so much in lockdown, but the routine will be returning soon probably....
btw, what's with the "2quidforhalfanhour"...aren't you selling yourself a bit short there?:censored: I presume it's for something like dog walking, although others on here (Dr. John-yes you) may have other more questionable ideas on it!

Well, I just picked myself up off the floor. My local dealership called me. It was in for service, mot and tpms fault. I expected a £500+ bill and they told me it was £85.05!
When I did the leafspy tyre registration thing I must have stuffed it up because that's all they did, I thought I had a dud sensor/battery.
They didn't charge me for the service, not that there is much to do on a minor one on an ev.
Mind you I have bought 5 cars from them in the last 4 years so maybe they thought they'd throw in a freebie.
Hendy Nissan Bournemouth.

Cheers Tony.
