Going through the brochures deciding which boxes to tick I've 'inserted' several question marks.
Yesterday afternoon I sent the salesman a list of 12 questions, but also went looking on the BMW website, with very little joy.

I'm not (yet) convinced that an i3 BEV is a vehicle high on the list of 'vehicles likely to be stolen', by joyriders, for use in committing another crime,or by professionals as a crime in itself.
The only justification I can think of is to break for parts, specifically the battery, but surely the market for these is too small and too specialised to make theft likely?

Any thoughts or advice from the more experienced please?

I didn't bother with it for my i8.... I wouldn't even consider it for the i3!
