I have seen a j1772 to a type 2 connector so that if you have a chargepoint with a cable with aj1772 connector you can charge a type2 (mennekes) car.
I am looking for the opposite - I have a chargepoint with a cable with a type 2 connector but I need to charge our old Lead with a J1772 connector.
I haven't seen such a converter. I was wondering if I could use our spare type 2 charge cable ans cut it and mount a J1772 connector on one end.

Is that possible?

Technically it's possible, but you probably need specialist hydraulic crimping tool to connect the high power wires properly. And if your EVSE it tethered, you've made it "old fashioned" and incompatible with future EVs, so extra expense later when the Leaf goes & newer EV arrives. Easier might be buy the entire cable & J1772 plug already made up to the length you want, and swap it at the EVSE end. This seems to be a much easier thing to do. Then it's an easy swap back later, at no cost.
evbitz.uk sell items like this, if you can't find anyone local.

Yes it's over like these, but i would have liked it to be an adapter insteaad of a cable.

The purpose is double. At home Oure M3 and 2016 Leaf could share the one EVSE. On the road our Leaf could use the type 2 teethered AC plug from the ABB fastchargers while the DC plug is occupied.

I have a spare 1phase type 2 cable. Maybe i could cut that very short and mount a type 1 plug in it
