Batteries are not included
It is cheap enough to overlook the silly monthly battery fees at least.
Batteries are not includedWell the Fluence isn't the greatest EV available but £5250 for a 20,000 miler is Twizy territory. It's almost worth going for to get the battery pack for home storage!
Not just slow charging, it has battery swap capability!!!!Dohh! Still very cheap motoring if you can live with the compromise of slow charging only.

Good luck finding a battery swap location!

These are getting to be a real bargain. Put the 20k you save against an env200 in the bank to pay your £90pcm battery rental for all eternity , and never worry about degeneration again....There is a low mileage 2012 Kango Z.E. at £5995 + VAT and a 14 plate with 1,000 miles for £8989+VAT
My understanding is that all Renault batteries are "swappable""Is" the Fluence ZE available in the UK the swappable battery version? I understood there were 2 versions, one swappable, one not..
I'm with you on this in principle. The finance company will always set its rates to make a profit from any deal. However, for EVs, where issues like battery degradation and long term reliability are unknowns, leasing may be the least risk option – especially for extended ownership or when buying used.I was tempted...
TBH the battery lease puts me off. It's a personal choice, but I am really adverse to "financing", and try to avoid wherever possible. Just a bit left to go on my mortgage, and I'll aim to never finance anything again.
Completely agree. Ultimately it's like an insurance safety net. Part of the finance premium is towards this, the other part just for lending.I'm with you on this in principle. Yes. There aren't any battery swapping stations though."Is" the Fluence ZE available in the UK the swappable battery version?
Finally I post something useful.I think it was @Paul who suggested a GAP insurance style policy against battery issues, but AFAIK this isn't available standalone on any EV.

Having been originally designed to comply with the now defunct "better place", it wouldn't make sense to redesign your whole battery set up, would it ?
I read that Renault removed swapping from Zoe during a late redesign. Saves them a little on costs.
I would imagine the same is true for the updated Kangoo Z.E. They took out battery swapping to reduce costs. This is just a guess though.
Renault promised rapid charging on Kangoo phase II but then quietly dropped it. My guess is their large fleet customers didn't want to pay the extra €150 per unit. Most of the vans go to the French government.
