Hi All,
I have a Leaf Tekna 2017 and I am at the point of buying a new 12V battery.
Varta advises the following battery: Varta Blue dynamic C22 52Ah 470A.
The Varta Silver Dynamic C30 54Ah 530A, delivering a bit more power and having
Equal dimensions is not advised!
Should be some disadvantage to buy the C30 and why?
Thank you in advance for your advice.

Probably because the C22 is perfectly adequate. An EV is not like an ICE. There is no high demand cold ICE engine cranking requirement. The 12v DC is just there to power much less power intensive items such as lights, fans and windscreen wipers. And is constantly kept topped up by the DC to DC converter to remain adequate for those domestic tasks. A more powerful battery would be an extra expense for no good reason.

I bought a Yuasa replacement battery for my Leaf on recommendation from the Green Flag technician that attended when my Leaf died. I did and it was all good after that, but having said that the cheaper Varta battery will probably be just fine.

After doing some research and looking at some sites where they advise as alternative the C30
I bought one and after loading for the night with my Ctek battery monitor, I will install it today.
