At the ecotricity stations I usually stay in/near car, grab a coffee overlooking charger or otherwise am only a few minutes away. I do sometimes top up > 80% though if it's necessary and/or no-one is waiting. With a denser population of RCs this is less of an issue, though a handy 7kW/3kW backup would help for an extra topup if say wanting to eat.
The only place I've left my car > charge cycle was at the local ikea. It was *meant* to be 30 minutes but have you ever tried getting in/out that quickly... especially when there's a queue at the checkouts.... (it was more like 60.. no-one waiting but I felt guilty) - oh and there was a space adjacent plus the charge had finished so cable could be removed
