I hope to be taking delivery of my new BEV this week.

I noticed on my order form an item Road Fund Licence First Fee £55.

Unless this is something completely different, I thought Year 1 was £0 and all subsequent years.

Can anyone advise/confirm this?

This is a new car registration fee and should normally be paid by the dealer and covered by the on the road charges that are in addition to the purchase of the actual vehicle.

See this Government Website for more information.

In the Peugeot 208 brochure, you can just about see in the small print what is included in the “on the road cost” of £770 which is added to the MRRP (less any discount) for an electric model.

That chart means absolutely nothing to me - just a load of numbers with no context or column headings.
It was understood by the op who asked the question. If you would like to know more, then feel free to ask and I’ll be happy to provide you with the context.

IGNORE the chart. That's the price list page of the brochure. The picture was cropped to show the small print stating the £55 registration fee that OP was asking about.
