I have had two cords fail.The first failed because the membrane that covers the 6/10 amp switch cracked and allowed water inside box.I drove to dealer and was given a replacement there and then from a demonstrator.This one lasted about two weeks and then failed with red fault light after being switched on for 1 hour.it took two visits and 5 days to get a replacement.The third one is still working so far.The delay was because they wanted to see for themselves the fault and the time taken to order a new part
I feel my dealer was pretty good at replacing the cord and yours rubbish
