I can't find a post with a link to the VoltStats site so thought I'd add it.

http://www.voltstats.net/

It is very interesting to see the real world mpg that users get and some impressive numbers. Also bear in mind that MPGs are US gallon. To convert to UK multiply by (I think) 1.25

Google says 1 Imperial gallon = 1.20095042 US gallons

I extracted some figures from voltstats which I think give a good overview of real world consumption:

Converted from US mpg to UK mpg, the top 10% of Volts get better than 657MPG, 100MPGe, the median is 211MPG/84MPGe, and 90% of Volt drivers get better than 87MPG/62MPGe (where MPG ignores electric miles and MPGe counts electric miles as 93MPG(US)/113.6MPG(UK)).

(Sample size 907 Volt drivers from voltstats.net)
