I for one will now be looking at the XC40 as an Option as KIA just cancelled my KIA Soul EV Order :censored:
That's a jump in budget! £50K for a not-much-bigger SUV...

Yes I know, I looked at the polestar in Manchester, Decided against that, Looked at the Tesla Model 3 Performance but when I asked about trade in they offered me £18k under the WBEC quote of nearly £30k for my car, so discounted that, KIA offered via my broker Military Discount on the Soul EV so I put down a deposit, then they changed their mind and removed the car from the site, also looking at the 2020 E Niro and I still have a deposit on a VW ID3 (VW still won't give out a UK price for the car). Then again I may just keep my KIA Stinger until the EV market calms down a bit when more vehicles are launched in 2020 etc, prices may stabilise a bit as well

IMO it isn't going to get "better" as accountants will eventually wake up and smell the zero BIK coffee. Mine was oblivious to it until I mentioned in Sept and is going to let his clients know! Demand from small businesses (a huge market in UK) could more than consume all 2020 availability. Most manufacturers have very few BEVs actually available in 2020, even VW will probably only deliver around 2500.

You may find best option is to sell the Stinger to a Kia (or specialist) dealer - call a few and get the best price for cash sale. Try different parts of country as we once got £2000 more by selling OH's car to dealer from same group in Birmingham! Trade in rarely gives best overall deal (unless manufacturer incentive) so we rarely do it. WBAC is for lazy or desperate IMHO ;)

Just stumbled across the audi q4 e-tron which looks nice but there are very few real details so i suspect its a 2021 model in reality. Interesting if priced below 50k so xc40 electric range

Yes but stupidly expensive like a lot of Volvos these days - if you are interested just wait a year for one of the heavily depreciated ones.
