Hi all.

I have had my car exactly 6 months now and below is a summary of my ownership so far.

I am very happy so far and don't have any major complaints.

Having done a handful of long trips already i am confident moving forwards, with another long trip from West Yorkshire to Brighton planned in the next few weeks as well as a trip to Cornwall before the end of the year, with a few return trips to the North East in between.

If not for lockdown measures i would have done 1,500-2,000 miles more than i actually have.

Hopefully the summary below proves useful to others.

Sounds like a great start @Malik84 ! I’ve had mine since March and only done 1k miles due to lockdown so looking forward to achieving similar results😁

I have had mine nearly 2 yrs now and still love it. I find the seats comfortable, I prefer the knobs and levers. Not difficult to get over 5mls/kwh without being a granny in summer. Dislike the active part of cruise control but does have its advantage in 50mph road works .

You account for 830kwh charged and so that gives 4.46mls/kwh overall.??

Hi Ken, thanks for pointing this out ... yes, based on overall kWh's put in to the car and the total mileage done so far you get 4.46 m/kWh. Having looked at the info via the car app, i got the 5.1 based on the avg. Consumption for each cycle over the 42 cycles already done ... a couple of my cycle were quite short (8 miles as an example) with an abnormal m/kWh avg (8-9), which will have skewed the avg. Slightly. The realistic figure is definitely the one you have stated.

Overall, i am very happy with the car ... and i too also had to get used to the ACC ... was not a massive fan initially but i have got used to it now ... one thing though that has nearly caught me out is the emergency braking via the radar, especially in torrential rain!!

Can you calculate your average speed?
Hi Ed.

Average speed overall so far, over 42 charge cycles is 19 mph.

There has only been 8 cycles between charges where i have done 30mph or more (range is 30-51 mph) ... the average for these 8 cycles is 39 mph. These have all been long distance trips and at motorway speeds where i set the cruise control at 65 mph, and only accelerate above this when overtaking, not going more than 75mph if i can.

The avg. Consumption over the longer trips at higher speeds has been between 4.5 & 4.7 m/kWh.

There are plenty of hills where i am in west yorkshire with lots of traffic most days. My daily commute is 22 miles return, and i rarely reach speeds higher than 30-40 mph, with averages a lot less than this. Going to work i tend to gain miles rather than use them, but this balances out on my return trip.
