Didn't see this mentioned and think it's new news.

The e-Golf has been rated by the EPA as returning 116 MPGe (the LEAF for comparison gets 114 MPGe) and the range is rated at 83 miles combined. Again for comparison the latest LEAF is related at 75 miles using the same metric.

So yes, not groundbreaking, but as some have said during testing it does seem a LITTLE more capable than the LEAF in terms of range.

The EPA range for the current Leaf is 84 miles.

However, while the cars have the same city rating, the golf has a higher highway rating (105 vs 101mpge) so it should go slightly further on the open road.

That'll teach me for reference Wikipedia, it was the top result and I'm sure it said 75 miles this model, 73 the previous.
75 was true for the 2013 car, but the 14/15 car dumped the 80% charge option, so nets a higher no-blended score.
