Hi! I'm Susie, and I'm working with a small team to design innovative power solutions for electric vehicles. I'd love to talk to you and get some advice from you to understand the problems you have and how we might solve them. Let me know if you're interested in a quick call so I can pick your brain!

Thanks! We're looking to have slightly deeper conversations with folks that warrants talking vs. reading. Interested?

What aspect of power solutions for electric vehicles are you looking at?
Charging infrastructure, drivetrain, vehicle energy storage, static battery storage, solar/wind/hydro power supply?

Maybe we could point you at some knowledgeable folks for whatever speciality you’re interested in.

If it’s charging points then there’s not a great deal of innovation to make, we just need more installed.

Could you mods consider a survey only forum?
And then move all these types of post there?
There will always be certain type of person on any forum that loves taking them so they would be in their element!

9 out of 10 of these blasted surveys all ask the same question so a few seconds reading the forum rather than wasting peoples time would deal with 99% of them.

Personally I find the amount of people that turn up here asking for participation in all sort of schemes is, if not alarming, then surprisingly high especially those offering bribes sorry I mean carrots.

Most may well be legit but I think some are scams or have targeting respondents with marketing as goals at the root of the request..

I honestly think it is becoming a bit of an issue here because of the current realisation in the industry that there is money to be made form EVs and their owners.

Consider this
I signup on here all sweet and innocent, "I am a student doing a dissertation or whatever" but in reality I am working out of a lock up in London and specialise in sourcing high end cars for foreign clients and am very efficient in colecting them at night then sending them offshore in shipping containers!

A similar scam has hit some of the high end car forums recently.
A survey of gullible owners probably proves very lucrative in identifying a source of those vehicles.

We have an invitation only focus group forum.

@Paul set it up and was marketing it. He since sold the forum on and I think the new owners haven't done much with it.

Only @Admin can create a new sub-forum.

TBH I'm not too worried about someone coming all the way to North Wales and taking our LEAF. If someone does, I have insurance.

Declining to respond is always an option. Anyone responding to a survey should use common sense.

I never give

My American SS number

I also never post my holidays to FB until I'm back home.

I'm willing to repeat myself a few times if means we stop seeing app-only chargers or a a single 7kW charger in a busy carpark. .

All we want is multiple (maybe 5 minimum?) RAPID charge points per site, with contactless card payments accepted at a reasonable rate per kw. NO APPS OR RFID CARDS

............... get some advice from you to understand the problems you have and how we might solve them.
This is far too broad a brush to persuade people to get involved imo.

There are industry problems over taxation and incentives to encourage EV uptake. Then individual problems over specific cars. OLEV problems. Local Authority charger issues. Geographic charger desert areas. Technical problems. Driving, and in-car tech related issues.

In short this subject is a minefield of problems and individual EV owners have a myriad of hobby horse topics that could take up hours of your time to no good effect.

You will have to come clean about your particular focus I'm afraid before any meaningful discussions can take place.

That doesn't convey any meaning.
Do you mean motors?
The battery (or fuel cell? or Range Extender)
Charging points - public or private?
Home sources of power - wind, solar, geothermal, cold fusion?

Or something else ?

I'm willing to have a chat.

You should know that many SpeakEV forum members live in the UK. From your post times it looks like you are in the US.

I'm American, but live in Wales.

If you are still interested, send me a private message.

TBF, innovation is less crucial than Qty & common sense, we just need geographically placed 50-100 Kw DC rapid chargers with Euro 7 Pin - CSS & ChaDeMo plug - accessible / payable with a contactless Credit / RFID..
