I mean tbh, I think the problem is they had no way of accounting for my non-UK driving experience in their online form, but even then.... I was amused about the amount of posts on here complaining of £100 differences in rates when I was thousands away lmao
In percentage terms you're probably not far away from some of the absurd differences I've seen between main insurers and pluginsure or other "specialists"...£100 extra is significant when you're only paying £200!
Some insurers in this country have a really weird way of telling you they don't want your money - I once had a quote for £8,995 for my car insurance (£200 more than I had paid for the car). At the time, sensible quotes were coming it at £600-700 and my risk profile is far from terrible...
