On the run into central London yesterday (24C), in a slowish 20-30mph heavy traffic run, managed 12.2 miles from the first 2kWh (and no noticeable downhills to skew the figures either). At that rate, I could have beaten 60miles on a single charge..... Anyone improve on that?

That's very good going, at 6.1mpkWh (my new invented unit ) I think I matched that driving through central London some weeks back but I wasn't keeping track... Stop-start low-speed traffic does seem to result in relatively huge mpkWh...

Our single best day so far was 5.2 mpkWh over 42 miles.


We (Debbie drives the Leaf too) averaged 4.5miles per kWh in July.

I drove about 58 miles on 43% of our Leaf's battery on Monday. I charged to 80% at Hollingbourne, and arrived home in Southend with 37% left. A good deal of this was in slow traffic, and on one stretch, on the M25, I did about 4 miles on 1% of the battery. That was on the gentle descent to the Dartford Tunnel.

I had to look quite hard to understand what you were talking about.

I normally navigate this forum using the "new posts" facility. That offers a list of threads, and when I click on one it takes me directly to the posts I haven't read yet. The headers aren't normally displayed.

Apologies for gatecrashing a private party! You won't mind if I help myself to this lonely-looking bottle of single malt on my way out? hunts for appropriate emoticon. Realises that this facility doesn't seem to work properly with Ipads. Gives up and leaves in a huff.

Yes, Went from Dunstable to Westfield Stratford and managed to get 3 hours of charge before coming home.
