Owners’ book doesn’t really explain it.
Worth it on long journeys ?
Worth it before rapid charging on a fairly cold battery, ie drove 5miles to it ?

Mine came switched on (September) and I've left it on. As I understand it, if the air is very cold, it will use power to heat the battery packs so the car charges faster and goes further in the winter.

Leave it on and forget it. It only heats up the battery while charging in cold weather and does no harm other times.
