Today, finally, we got to test drive the new EV car from Hyundai – the IONIQ 5. Our IONIQ 5 came as long-rang model with RWD. And plus we had a chance to use the 800V charging system with IONIQ 5. Enjoy the First Drive with this Electric Vehicle

Looks good. Always hard to tell but seemed refined & quiet overall. Shame we are not getting the pano roof here in the UK. Or the door cameras but not really sure they make any difference. The camera housings outside the car still look huge (and expensive to replace if they get knocked) and the iPads attached to the interior doors a bit odd. Still nothing much wrong with external door mirrors!
Those high speed chargers are awesome though. Covered over from the rain and love the left or right side cable enabled.
Just waiting to get confirmation of range and final spec here in the uk for the “45” edition.

Looks really good, was going to be my next (lease) car until the grant changes which are going to make it very expensive in the UK compared to most developed countries who are still offering far higher grants than here. Bummer!

Great video. Even though it was the version with the most range (RWD, LR) we still didn't get a decent idea of how close to WLTP the power consumption actually is.

Consumption is shown at 4.6 km/kWh (2.8m/kWh)

Probably quite high because of the nature of the test - designed to run the battery down?

So the highway range for the AWD Prestige which is probably closest to the 45 edition, works out at 202 miles. How fast is highway speed? 80mph equivalent? or 56mph? Anybody know? Does the Prestige come with the solar roof?
