We’re considering upgrading from a Q210 to a Q90 and have a few questions where the answers feel harder to find than they should be! So if anyone can help on these it’s be much appreciated:
  • Is there an easy summary anywhere of the initial car warranty period by date? (I think they’ve changed between 3, 4 and 5 years at various points?)
  • What are the battery warranty periods for the ‘i’ models by date/iteration? (I understand they changed from the 5 years we had on ours to 8 years now, although again I’m not sure when and whether this was related to model changes or dates)
  • Is there a set price list for buying out batteries by age?
  • Does buying out the battery mean you’ll have the same warranty as with the ‘i’ models?
Thanks in advance!

For people who might be searching for the same information I was:

Vehicle Warranty:
  • Registered up to 31/1/18: 4 years
  • Between 1/2/18 & 17/12/19: 3 years
  • From 18/12/19: 5 years

Battery warranty:
  • Up to 17/12/19: 5/8 years, unclear when it changed
  • From 18/12/19: 8 years

From:Warranties - Manufacturer, Paintwork, Repair - Renault UK

Battery purchase appears to be £4,000 for a 3 year old ZE40 and £3,500 for a 4 year old one.
