Anyone else with the clicky boot issue find it pretty much went away, or at least reduced, over the winter?

Got my first service booked in for the end of the month and just wondering whether I can live with it now being much less noticeable, or will I find it back with a vengeance once the warmer weather starts to kick in?

If I do decide to get it done is there a specific item I can point the dealer to about fixing it?
Otherwise it'll be "the boot clicks can you fix it?" - "we've tightened up the tailgate lock, see if that helps". Again.

It's a known issue with the dealers which takes a lot more work than tightening the latch and lock. The issue is with the hinges and them rubbing against a piece of unnecessary extra metal up there.

It definitely hasn't went away for me. Still annoying as ever.

As 80698 says.. it's a body shop job.. grinding something and a quick touchup at paint shop... Mine was done end of October at the same time as the precon fix... Totally gone and what a difference withouth that annoying click.. once you hear it you can't ignore it.. at least I couldn't.
Book it in to have it done.

My garage tried tightening it up last Autumn but didn't completely fix it. Covid torpor meant I couldn't be arsed putting it in again as we weren't driving much. So today I've got the same thoughts as the OP - the creaking is still there but much less than it was and not nearly such a pain. Depending on when lockdown lifts I may still ask the garage to fix it properly, but it's not as bad as it was.

Not an issue with hinge, there is a weld that is basically too tight meaning there isn't enough flex. The dealer breaks the weld and re-seals it, then it goes to the body shop to repaint. All on "interior" panels so to speak as it is hidden by the boot when it is closed so causes no aesthetic issues.

More recent report from RZOC Craig suggested it was a case of "easing" the weld and was now a paint-less repair? His description sounded very much like a cold chisel fix. Was he misinformed by his dealer?

Any word whether a factory fix has been developed? Or should I mention this before taking delivery of my Zoé which was probably built in the past week or two?

IIRC, this only affects early cars, delivered last Spring or Summer.

The fix I described is form the official Renault solution. I know that Craig visited a Renault dealer that have their own bodyshop and one of their technicians has tried an approach which does not involve having to paint, the results look promising and I am sure they have given details to Renault UK - unsure as to whether they will update the official guidance or not.
