More recent report from RZOC Craig suggested it was a case of "easing" the weld and was now a paint-less repair? His description sounded very much like a cold chisel fix. Was he misinformed by his dealer?Not an issue with hinge, there is a weld that is basically too tight meaning there isn't enough flex. The dealer breaks the weld and re-seals it, then it goes to the body shop to repaint. All on "interior" panels so to speak as it is hidden by the boot when it is closed so causes no aesthetic issues.
