My Zoe is now in the shop at Aldershot for a leaky A/C hose near the schrader valve. Complete loss of system pressure while it was sitting in my drive during lockdown. I was preheating it now and then but apparently not good enough and I guess a dodgy seal finally let go.

Should be covered under the extended warranty. Best purchase I ever made.

Doesn’t the refrigerant contain lubrication fluids, therefore if you don’t use it it may experience problems?
As no one else yes commented - you are correct, the flow of the gasses is required to lubricate the seals. No gas flow, no lubrication, and leakage will start.

Happened to me a couple of times, last time in a Dacia Duster where I'd not used it in about 18 months - Renault refilled it for free (and tested the circuit) and informed me they might charge me next time (as in theory it's my fault). First time was in a Mazda MX5 but we only found out as I was removing the aircon as I needed the space for a super charger. Had to pay for a specialist to come round to empty the aircon system first to find nothing there - his first question was when had I last used the aircon ....
