12v battery question to MG5 owners.

I have a mate who owns a 2 year old MG5. It is little used. Just local trips with the odd 100 miles run. Perhaps 3000 miles per annum. As such, it sits on his drive for most of its life. The subject of 12v battery problems with EVs in general came up the other day. He said that he had no such issues and that the car reports the voltage as always either just below or just above 12v.

That would concern me but he was unfazed. I like to see the voltage showing at a minimum of 12.5v and 85% SOC but even then I would take action to bring it up to 12.75v and 100%.

My question to other MG5 drivers is this. Does your car also show the voltage hovering around 12v? Anybody with a BM2 to report the voltage and SOC changes when the car is little used? I am reluctant to discuss this with him again as it might concern him. And if this is perfectly normal for MG5's in general then there is no need anyway.

What is the general opinion on this?
