Anyone used Edinburgh Airport ‘Fast Park Electric Charging’?

This is the airport’s official valet parking and includes collecting the car on return with a full charge. It looks decent value for money and so a good alternative to rapid charging when we’re flying from there next month (driving from Durham). Our return flight also lands at night, making it further attractive for a speedy drive home.

I can set the limit to 90% so don‘t mind it sitting like that for a couple of days, but I wondered if anyone had any experience? Is the car charged on site or taken away somewhere, for example and do they time it so it’s charged towards the end of the stay?

I don‘t need alternative rapid or destination charging advice, just this specifically please. Thank you.

We went up there from Durham at Easter. Didn't bother with the parking with charging, we charged at a retail park 20 minutes from the airport, to about 80%, parked up in the long stay, then the kids were hungry on the drive back so stopped at Berwick McDonald's and stuck it on the Instavolt for a top up, which we probably would have been fine without.

Never used it myself, but a neighbour did and he was not impressed with overall service. They charge the car on the day of arrival. However, if there are many more cars, you could end up with less charge than you anticipated.
Once again, this is not first hand experience, just passing info.

I'd park up in the long stay, and then use one of the rapid chargers at Ingliston park and ride (only 500m or so from the airport)
The park and ride is free to use, has 7 rapid chargers and 17 22kw fast chargers.

It might be cheaper in the long run. (or arrive a little early, charge up at the park and ride then put it in the long stay before you go on holiday.)
