I recall reports of this in the early days, and mine did it for a while but them seemed to stop, but has got more noticeable recently ( 27k miles), after the last service where they swapped wheels front to back. (I did check the wheel nuts were tight!)
Particularly noticeable when moving off after being parked, and more so when steering at the same time, I hear a number of metallic clicks, coming from the front somewhere. Much more noiceable when window is open - too high in pitch to be very noticeable when closed, and you don't really "feel" it.
There is no apparent correlation to what the car is doing at the instant you hear the clicks, it may do it 3 or 4 times at random places during a turn, or sometimes when driving straight. Also no obvious correlation to bumps.
Very hard to repeat it in a predictable way, so wary about trying dealer unless I can get it to happen repeatably.
Although it doesn't happen during braking, the fact that it seems more noticeable when moving off after being parked could mean it's related to the brakes having been on recetnly - I do recall some issues with brake pad mounts being reported a couple of years ago.
The fact it does it multiple times makes me think it's not something like a sticky pad, as I'd think that would happen once
You can hear two clicks clearly a couple of seconds into this video : - YouTube
Anyone else have this or know what the cause might be?
