So we’ve had my wife’s EX30 for about 2 weeks now and we still have no connectivity for the entertainment/navigation system - when we collected the car we were told there was a problem with a server somewhere in Germany and that all the ex30’s worldwide had no data connection - I’m amazed to find this is still the case 2 weeks on yet can’t seem to find any info about it anywhere (or more importantly how to fix it) - anybody else have the same issue or can point me to a fix?

I think it’s probably more that if you lease it then the network stuff will get set up centrally as all the lease cars are in effect owned by Volvo UK or whatever,
Whereas if you buy one it’ll be left up to the dealers to sort out - my guess is dealers probably didn’t have it explained to them that they’d be responsible for setting up the connectivity as a part of the sale

I took my EX30 to the dealership to get the software updated to 1.3.1 & my Internet connection came back. Maybe worth trying?
Although this morning it showed 3bars on the LTE I couldn't get Spotify or Waze to work... Ho hum.
Thats interesting, I have been waiting patiently for 1.3 to arrive OTA, looks like that has now been superseded by 1.3.1.

Were the dealer OK with doing the update? Not sure how you would get an OTA update with no internet, luckily, my internet seems ok!

Is this similar to the Smart #1 issue, ( basically same car) where every time you turned the car off , the connectivity default disconnected ( you could manually turn it on, but it then re-disconnected on switch-off)

The software update to my Smart cured the issue
( for info…I was using Vodafone at the time)

Just WhatsApp'd Volvo directly to try & resolve this connection problem. Their solution.... Contact Vodafone! As I 'politely' reminded them I didn't buy a phone I BOUGHT A VOLVO.
Going to phone the dealership again as I don't understand why I have to conact a 3rd party to fix my 2 month old car.
