Home charging point GPRS signal fail

I got a Rolec charger installed in May for my eGolf and it had a pretty good GPRS signal ('20') at the time. I checked it last week and today and it's showing a signal of '00'.

When I had it installed they went to great lengths to tell me that it had to have a GPRS signal to qualify for the 100% Scottish Government installation grant.

Just wondering who I should speak to about this: the installer (Jorro) or Energy Savings Trust Scotland?

Or does it even matter?

The GPRS signal is only for statistical usage monitoring, it doesn't affect the operation of a home charge point.
If you had a signal on installation, and since then, it's vanished through no fault of your own, (maybe a cell tower is down?) I wouldn't worry.

If you worry that the Scottish Government (or OLEV) aren't getting their statistical feed, then speak to the installer.

Some installers use roaming SIMs, but I think the Pod Point only use EE, though they can use others if EE have no signal locally.

Your installer will take a signal level when they do the site survey (warn them that you have no signal)

The installer then has to apply to DVLA (yes, DVLA, not OLEV) for an exemption. Once that's all cleared up, they will go ahead and do the install, and claim the grant from OLEV.

We live on the edge of Dartmoor, no signal, we received the grant - although there was a bit of delay in getting the approvals!
