This is not going to be a full review, just my early impressions as a current Honda E owner of the Renault 5.
First impressions: Lovely stance and the yellow is gorgeous in person (The big 5 decal is a press car feature and not an available option as of 02/2025)
Wheels: Look great and look easy to clean, do like the the fact they went with 55 profile should avoid the worst of the curb rash.
Seats: The yellow colour looks so bright in pictures but in reality is much more subtle, it's got a grey mesh feel to it. Really nice looking and also seems it will hold up well to dirt.
Infotainment: This was a big surprise, screens were bright and sharp. The interface was very responsive (Even faster than the Honda E). Native Google map integration with charge point suggestion when navigating. Loads of animations when cycling through options on the driver display, but again, not laggy, just very precise.
Interior feel: Could really do with a sunroof (Sadly there is no option for this) Feels a bit dark. Loads of storage options which is nice. Also dual USB C and 12V port up front.
Rear seats, enough headroom for me (180cm), the fake leather feels terrible and I doubt it will age well, this really should've been the material that's everywhere else.
Boot: Deceptively big (I'm coming from the Honda E which has a joke for a boot). The 5 boot is deep with further storage underneath the floor.
