To my amazement, I've recently watched a coupe of videos on YT that get into some serious deep battery and component analysis - in Ukraine, and I don't think they were official Jaguar dealers, but by god, even though I couldn't even understand the subtitles, they were bloody good. Why do I feel there's noone over here doing the same work ? maybe the Hevra people are doing it, I guess Cleevely might do - but my impression is that they're way ahead of us brits.

If you were impressed by the Ukranians...have look around Internet and YT about business and achievements in Latvia... The Literacy rate in the country is....99.89% and the internet and online services penetration is at 93%. They, as a nation are so far ahead of almost everyone in the world that is actually depressing when you think about US...the Western world.
They are ex USSR country but since they won their independence in 1991 they are moving forward faster than almost everybody else in the world. Now, that I will call impressing (y)

Exactly. Our garages fix Teslas and Jaguars and haven't heard any issues which can't be resolved. There is still no official Tesla dealership (there is one in Lithuania but no service) as it is not needed. Even insurance consider Tesla locally serviceable. Regarding I-Pace there is only one electrician guy who worked exclusively with them but now has lured to Porsche dealer.

Lots of scrapped EVs end up in that region for processing or repair as we deem it too expensive to do here!

Some of the first Tesla hacks seemed to have originated there too with 50 - 150 HP boosts plus numerous feature additions. I've also seen the repair of a Tesla battery pack where they drill around the bad cells and replace, then spot weld them back in.

I wonder how they get around the software updates after that? As we know Tesla server can remotely disable certain features in the car if they want to. Recently there was a post here about someone who bought damaged M3 from auction and after putting the car back on the road, he had discover that Tesla had disable the SC access. Tesla told him that he need to bring the car to Tesla centre for inspection and if the car passes that, they will reactivate the SC.
