Firstly we love electric and i am not moaning about Motability or the scheme at all! but hate the lack of memory electric seats on the EV range of cars available on the scheme at the moment (and it seems across the EV ranges in general)
The wife is a foot shorter than me so when we had the Seat Alhambra we had memory seats.
We want to stick with Electric but she finds it difficult to lean in the car and alter the seat after i have been in it and visa versa. The Kia Soul EV we have now has served us well but she doesn't like the glitchy software that fails to connect to the phones when it pleases and takes an age boot up.
The MG ev4 has the similar set up to the Soul with the drivers seat being electric but is a bit low for her.
None of the VAG group EV's seem to have any sort of electric seats. She has looked at the Renault Megane EV and has short listed it although it has no electric seats but she says its easiest of all to move manually.
Why are electric seats so rare then? is it just on Motability or on EV's in general?
The consensus from the dealers i have spoken to is that its just not really possible due to the cost.
I don't mind paying up to ÂŁ3k deposit but ÂŁ6-ÂŁ7k is a bit too much for us.
Any suggestions on what is available on the scheme that may suit would be appreciated.
We are used to the Kia soul's supposed 280 mile range so don't want to drop lower than that if possible.
